Project Management
Through the use of our proven project management philosophy, the ViVOconcepts team helps ensure the successful implementation of our systems for our customers.
We are following the best practices of the agile Project Management approach, which is based on the principles of human interaction management, founded on a process view of human collaboration. This contrasts sharply with traditional heavy-weight processes. In the agile software development approach, the project is seen as a series of relatively small tasks conceived and executed as the situation demands in an adaptive manner, rather than as a completely pre-planned process.
While our teams plan and execute every project in a structured manner with clearly defined deliverables, we have learned that the agile Project Management enables our customers together with our teams to adapt faster to changing business requirements during the project. It allows us to transfer these into system functionality without project cost overruns or delays in time-to-market.
This in turn increases the Return-on-investment for our customers, and results into a more innovative solution. As a side aspect, the close human interaction in project management promotes a smooth and beneficial knowledge transfer for all parties involved. Although often underestimated, knowledge transfer is a considerable intangible asset of Agile Project Management.
The chart below makes the ViVOconcepts project management approach and its phases more transparent.

Project validation
This phase is dedicated to preview all parameters of the project from validation of the business case to ROI scenarios. Once the project objectives are confirmed, our team provides the customer with a Statement of Work. At this point the project is ready for kick-off.
Project design
Upon approval of the project, the ViVOconcepts team creates the concept, organizes the project in phases, and determines ownerships of tasks. The project design shall be the blue-print of the process.
System development
At this time, the ViVOconcepts development team will engage in the process to implement the system, complete all customization as detailed in the Statement of Work. The QA team conducts phased testing on development servers, until the team releases it for customer review.
System deployment
This is the moment of truth. Upon release by QA, the assigned project manager presents the system as a pilot to the customer for review. The beta testing is about to begin, and changes in requirements can be made, if needed. Upon approval of the pilot stage, we prepare the ‘Go Live’ going into production with the system. As a last step, the teams meet for a project debriefing to exchange feedback, and help improve the process for the next project.
In the Agile Project Management it is common to loop around in all phases, and review, adjust the scope to constantly enhance the project results. Please contact us for more questions, and how the ViVOconcepts team can assist you in your projects.
